Interesting Bug
In the single player game, a bug in the 3D math caused the enemy heads hit boxes (collision boxes) to be positioned at 90 degrees to the actual head. Sort of like a hunch on their back. This means a shot behind their head will result in a perfect headshot kill, even though you missed! As a trouble-shooter, contracted to Activision in Los Angeles for a few month, I corrected this bug for the multiplayer game, but the problem was identified so late in production that we could not fix the single-player version (as it would have required re-tweaking the AI players behaviour - basically too expensive).

Involvement
Worked under contract. First in the UK on the multiplayer version, to produce the onscreen keyboards for PS2 & Xbox. For the last 3 months of the project, located in Los Angeles as a trouble-shooter, helping ensure the product came together. During this time discovered, investigated and fixed the computer player "head hit-box" problem as well as character rendering issues. Side note: While working in LA I found Halo action figures for sale and wound up with the world's largest collection for a while (about 450 figures & vehicles).
